At Normanhurst School we highly value our connection with our former staff and pupils. Now that the school has started the Old Normanhurstians Alumni Association, we hope to keep in touch with our ex-pupils and staff on a more regular basis through general newsletters and on an ad hoc basis.

90th Anniversary

In November 2013 Normanhurst celebrated 90 years since the school’s foundation with a reunion event at the school in Station Road.

Guests were treated to a champagne and canapé reception served by the school’s caterers, tours of the school by current pupils and prefects guiding the visitors around the site, and a jazz band provided a musical backdrop in the marquee. There was also the opportunity to record their memories of their time at the school.

Around 200 past pupils (the oldest former pupil having joined the school in 1934 as a junior) and staff attended and had the opportunity to see how much the school has developed and changed. Hundreds of photographs were displayed along with film footage of past school shows and Speech Days.
